Networking social, oyster roast await young professionals

Young professionals will have plenty to do this week, with a Thursday social and an oyster roast scheduled in a three-day period.
Myrtle Beach Young Professionals, which formed late last year, is having its second event of 2011 on Thursday, Feb. 10.
The networking social will take place between 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. at Bumstead’s in Myrtle Beach.
There are no membership requirements for Myrtle Beach Young Professionals. Admission is free and drinks are separate.
Myrtle Beach Young Professionals held its inaugural event in January at Longbeard’s in Carolina Forest. More than 75 people attended.

Two days later, another area organization is hosting one of the most widely attended young professionals events along the Grand Strand
The third annual Shuckin’ on the Strand Oyster Roast, hosted by gsSCENE and presented by FSA Full Steam Ahead, Inc., will be held Saturday, Feb. 12, from 1-6 p.m. at the Hot Fish Club in Murrells Inlet. More than 700 people attended last year’s oyster roast.
